I Don’t Like Hot Porridge…..

I really have a dislike for cooked hot porridge, no matter how cold it is outside, the thought of a steaming hot bowl of porridge, does not appeal to me at all.

I do eat porridge though, but usually soaked overnight with almond milk and cinnamon or something similar. However, today I woke up thinking of porridge….bizarre I know. But I didn’t have any prepared. So my solution:

40gm of porridge oats cooked up in a cup of water, whilst this is cooling, mix together 50gms of Alpro Go On, with a cup of Alpro Cashew and a tablespoon of Cashew nut butter. I used my NutriBullet to get a nice creamy mix. Then add it to the cooked porridge. This cools it down completely and gives it a beautiful creamy texture.

Separately I mixed 30gms of Acai Berry puree with a tablespoon of alpro Go On and a dash of cashew milk, mixed it up and poured on top. Then drizzled another teaspoon of Cashew Butter over the top with a couple of pecans, a few pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds and a sprinkle of cornflower petals.

A great way to enjoy your porridge.
