Actually there doesn’t need to be any reason to bake these, other than they are a great healthy bar to have in the cupboard and go really well with a cuppa.
I did however get a text from a friend and I had about 40 minutes to come up with something to offer her with a cup of tea.
On searching my cupboards, I found I had quite a lot of open nuts and seeds, perfect. Nutty granola.
Mix dry ingredients into a bowl:
3 cups of Porridge Oats
1 1/2 cups of whatever you have, I used pumpkin seeds, cashew nuts, pine nuts, sesame seed, sunflower seeds, roasted beans.
Separately, in a small saucepan and on a low heat, melt the following.
1/2 cup of Pure and 3 tbsp of Agave Nectar and 1 tbsp of soft brown sugar.(Billingtons Muscovado)
Once melted, mix to the dry ingredients. Until completely combined.
Depending on what you are using, you may need to add more Pure. I also added a little vanilla.
Transfer to a baking tray (approx 30cm x 15cm) lined with baking paper. Press the mixture so it fills the tray. Bake at 180 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Take out and leave to cool for 5 minutes, then lift out of the tray using the paper and leave to rest for another 10 minutes before cutting into as many pieces as you feel is a good bar size. I made 14.

I added a drizzle of Choc Shot.
Based on what I used: They work out about 180/200 calories a bar. 3gms Protein, 6 gms fat, 12 gms carbs.
